Please first look at the wireless
projects page. You have to choose one of the projects listed in this
page or you can bring your own project to me to get my approval. You can
use the projects list given
here from the
www.sourceforge.net. |
|
Since each project team
(1 or 2 person team) will work on a different project, the projects
listed in the projects page will be given to the teams according to first-come first-served principle. |

During the process of learning
your project topic, designing and implementation of the project and finally
documentation, you will produce some work products and perform
weekly important project activities. |
|
The first activity is to make good
research on your topic and to learn the required background for the
project. |
|
The second activity is to
prepare a
Project Proposal.
In your proposal you will define a project
which can be finished within about
5 weeks. |
|
You will submit the updated Project
Proposal named as Project Report at the end of the project. |
|
Look at my
Writing for Research and
Technical Work page when preparing your Project Proposal and final
Project Report document. |
|
Look at my software design,
documentation and coding
page
before you start to develop your project. Your software design and
source files must satisfy the requirements given in this page. |
|
Your third activity is a
weekly progress meeting on Wednesdays at my office or in the lab. |
|
The last activity is to update
your Project Proposal and give it to me as a Project Report at
the end of the semester. |
|
Your optional activity is to
prepare a Project Web Site.
|
Project Web Site
|
An optional
but very important activity for any project is to design a
project web
site.
|
|
This site will be a main
communication mechanism of your project team with me and other teams.
|
|
The typical contents of a project web page may include the following:
- The project name, team members
- The short and long description of project
- The start and end of the project
- The Project Proposal, final Project Report, and other produced work products including source code
- Web links and other related resources for the project topic
- The lessons learned during the project
